I grew up speaking English in New Brunswick, Canada. I had poor results in French class because the focus was on memorizing grammar, but I didn't let that stop me! My 6 week stay in a Québécois family at age 15 made my love of the language come alive: thanks to the connections I made.

During university I participated in a French-English exchange program: because my French was judged 'not good enough', I was given a placement teaching English at the Assemblée Nationale de Québec!

My 'not good enough' French gave me real understanding of the experience of my adult ESL (English as a Second Language) learners. My love of authentic connection and communication accelerated my progress, through bar crawls, running clubs, concerts and...love.

At 36 years old, married to a French man, with 2 bilingual children, living in rural France (with a strong internet connection ;) I LOVE turning my student's frustration into excitement for English, for over 15 years now.

Creative, curious, quirky and a keen listener...lessons are co-created with the learner for maximum enjoyment and confidence.
